Not sure how I missed this for so long (feeling kind of lame right now for not even knowing about it), but today I ran across using breakpoints in Chrome Developer Tools for debugging JavaScript.  It’s simple.  Open up the “sources” tab, select the file you need to troubleshoot, and click on one of the numbers in the margin.  That’s your breakpoint.

Chrome then pauses at each breakpoint for you until you’ve determined what’s up.

I believe I’m going to head over to the developer website and read up on all the other exciting things I missed by not reading the documentation.
